The Real Poker Crack to Winning Online Poker

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

How to win a poker? First all, you must first lay out a plan that will give you a chance to win. One of the most effective poker strategies to build your bankroll, is to play a sit n go poker tournament. The best of these are the double or nothing sit n go’s where you are playing against 9 other players and 5 of those players will get paid double their buy in.

One of the major reasons many people will claim pokerstars or full tilt is rigged, is because of the bad beats they get when playing. Top pair will get rivered by two pair and a straight will lose to a flush more times than it is seemingly possible. However, you can avoid a lot of the suck outs in poker online by following the same pattern and strategy each time you play.

One of the best ways to do this is to get a poker guide or book and follow the advice exactly in the book. Although you may have already played hundreds of poker hands in no limit Texas holdem, if you formulate a specific plan and style of play, this will give you an edge against some of the less experienced players in the field.

Once you have found a poker book that you are comfortable with, adapt that style to your play and follow the advice as closely as possible in each scenario. The real way to crack poker is to have a plan, stick to that plan and do not allow your emotions to overcome your good common sense in the game.

Face it, you are not going to get dealt pocket aces every hand, and you are rarely going to make the top nuts on the flop, so you need as much information to develop your winning style as possible. In other words, should you bluff at a pot when everyone checks or should you try and trap your opponents when you have a made poker hand?

Answering these questions is all a part of developing your style and sticking with your plan to win. Take the time to learn many different poker strategies to advance your knowledge and help you succeed in winning. After all, if the only strategy you ever use is bluffing or aggression, your opponents will quickly adapt and recognize your style of play and soon you will find yourself another victim of a bad beat!

How to Make More Money Playing Online Poker

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

There are a few things you should consider when you want to make more money playing online poker.

One of those is the time of day. If you are playing SNGs and low limit to mid-limit cash games between the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM in the United States, more than likely most of your opponents will be grinders or regulars who have more experience and will more than likely be higher quality opponents.

Once you start getting into the later hours of the day all the way to the early morning you will find the competition weaker, looser, and a tad bit drunker.

You can make a lot of money playing late at night, as long as you can avoid getting unlucky against the players who no longer care any more and who are on tilt and who make looser calls with their long shot draws.

Another point to consider is what type of game you choose to play regularly.

While you may enjoy taking down the occasional $500 pot in a no limit holdem cash game, you may find you can win more consistently playing SNGs against weaker competition.

SNGs will also allow you more “thrills” in the sense that you and 2 other players will make the money or win your satellite seats into a much larger, higher prize pool tournament.

Cash games in essence never end but SNGs at the beginning, a middle, and an end and if you can master these three stages you can steadily build your online poker bankroll and easily when a couple $100 a night regularly.

One last point to think about has to do with Omaha.

If you love action, you will love playing pot limit Omaha.

There are not as many professionals playing Omaha poker compared to no limit holdem. You can be a tight nit and still make money consistently playing Omaha.

People love to call and play hands they should not much more so in Omaha and than in holdem.

These are just three aspects to consider before you sit down at your next online poker session.
